VRT “Ons Huis, Nieuw Huis”: Camber & Verberckmoes

Verberckmoes & Camber

Almost everyone watched Ons huis/nieuw huis on VRT1, where interior architect Ken and real estate agent Kristien compete against each other. They visit eight couples in Flanders who do not (any longer) live in the house of their dreams. Do the couples choose for a renovation or a new house and a fresh start?

Two of our clients Camber en Meubelen Verberckmoes participated as a proud partner of the program. What was our job you might wonder?

We worked out a content & digital strategy for both clients and executed it by creating content for their social media and websites. We also created a 360 motion of all the locations that participated. All this content also has to reach the right audience, which we targeted via Facebook, Instagram and TikTok.

Why was this content so relatable to the end audience?

“While creating the program, we noticed that the couples’ homes no longer met their current living requirements. The homes were purchased quite some time ago, and due to changes in family situations, the houses were no longer suitable. This naturally raises the question of whether a renovation within a given budget could provide a solution. In most cases, it turned out that people preferred renovating over moving to a new home. During the program, we observed that many couples struggled with the efficient layout of the spaces in their current homes: storage issues came up repeatedly, as well as a lack of space and tranquility. It also became clear that renovating (rather than moving) was especially important for young families with children. Of course, it’s not easy to drastically change family life. Children like to stay in the same school, keep their friends nearby, continue their hobbies… That played a significant role in the decision-making process for several families. Furthermore, it’s only natural for people to feel emotionally attached to their homes. This became very clear when the couples saw their house after the renovation. Lots of happy faces and strong emotions.
